Our vision

Our goal is to give the Pidula watermill a new lease of life while preserving its historical
value. We want the restored watermill to become a place where people come to explore,
learn and simply spend time – a place that tells the story of Saaremaa to both locals and
visitors.
We dream that one day the watermill will be able to grind flour again using a water-powered mill
and offer visitors flour ground on site. We also see the mill as a small
community and cultural place where various events, workshops and
meetings could take place. Restoring the Pidula watermill is a way for us to preserve an important part
of Saaremaa’s history and bring it back into people’s everyday lives.
